For hybrid and remote roles, candidates are still required to reside within a commutable distance of our corporate headquarters in Vacaville, California.

Summary: Travis Credit Union's (TCU) Assistant Vice President (AVP), Branch Operations is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational governance, and continuous improvement of Travis Credit Union's ATM channel, branch technology ecosystem, cash management operations, and branch support functions. This role serves as the primary bridge between branch technology, self-service delivery channels, operational processes, and the frontline employee and member experience. The position oversees the development and execution of enterprise strategies that optimize branch performance, improve operational efficiency, increase technology adoption, strengthen operational controls, and enhance member service delivery across all physical and self-service channels. The AVP is accountable for ATM channel strategy, branch tools and technology management, cash operations, branch operational performance support, process improvement initiatives, vendor partnerships, business continuity planning, standardization, and regulatory compliance. Through collaboration with Retail Banking, Information Technology, Digital Banking, Risk Management, Facilities, Finance, and other business leaders, this position ensures technology, processes, and operational capabilities remain aligned with organizational goals and evolving member expectations. The AVP leads enterprise efforts to modernize branch operations, leverage operational analytics, improve employee productivity, enhance channel adoption, and create scalable solutions that support long-term organizational growth. - Develops and executes the enterprise strategy for ATM services, branch technology platforms, self-service channels, cash management operations, and branch operational enablement.
- Serves as the primary business leader connecting branch operations, branch technology, ATM services, cash management, and operational process improvement initiatives.
- Oversees the planning, deployment, support, maintenance, lifecycle management, and optimization of branch technologies including ATMs, cash recyclers, kiosks, tablets, scanners, concierge devices, teller technology, and future branch automation solutions.
- Drives and partners with Retail Banking leadership to identify operational challenges, prioritize opportunities, and implement technology and process solutions that improve branch effectiveness and member experience.
- Drives branch operational performance through analytics, operational intelligence, workflow improvement, and process standardization initiatives.
- Establishes governance, operating standards, procedures, and service-level expectations for ATM operations, branch tools, and branch operational processes.
- Develops multi-year roadmaps for branch channel modernization, self-service growth, branch automation, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Evaluates consumer and business banking trends and identifies opportunities to improve service delivery through technology innovation, process redesign, and channel optimization.
- Leads enterprise efforts to improve employee adoption and utilization of branch technology and self-service solutions.
- Oversees ATM channel performance, availability, functionality, deployment, upgrades, and overall member experience.
- Ensures all ATMs, branches, and vault operations maintain appropriate cash levels through effective forecasting, ordering, transportation, balancing, and reserve management practices.
- Directs operational process improvement initiatives that reduce risk, improve productivity, eliminate operational friction, standardization, and create scalable business processes.
- Utilizes operational analytics, performance metrics, and business intelligence to support executive decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Leads vendor strategy, contract negotiations, performance management, and service delivery oversight for ATM, branch technology, cash management, and operational support partners.
- Oversees branch infrastructure and operational readiness associated with new branch openings, remodels, relocations, and technology deployments.
- Ensures compliance with ADA, PCI, regulatory requirements, internal controls, risk management standards, and operational governance frameworks.
- Ensures satisfactory audit results through effective control design, risk mitigation, policy adherence, and corrective action management.
- Leads business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, and operational resiliency planning for branch channels, branch technology, and cash operations.
- Collaborates with Technology, Digital Banking, Facilities, Security, Risk Management, Finance, and Retail leadership to ensure alignment of strategic priorities and successful initiative execution.
- Manages departmental operating budgets, capital expenditures, resource allocation, and financial performance within established goals.
- Continuously identifies opportunities to improve employee productivity, operational effectiveness, member experience, and organizational efficiency.

- Ability to build collaborative partnerships and gain support across business lines, operational teams, and external partners.

- Overall management responsibility for all department staff.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Information Technology, Engineering, Analytics, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial institution operations, branch operations, ATM operations, branch technology, process improvement, cash management, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience with responsibility for teams, strategic initiatives, budgets, and operational performance.
- Demonstrated experience leading technology-enabled operational transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of branch operations, self-service channels, retail delivery systems, operational analytics, and financial institution technology environments.
- Proven experience managing vendors, contracts, business cases, and enterprise-wide projects.
Compensation:
- AVP, Branch Operations: Grade 22: $154,876.80 - $191,318.40.
