Georgia-Pacific Building Products is seeking a Mobile Equipment Reliability Leader to support reliability excellence across our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for improving the safety, reliability, maintainability, and performance of mobile equipment assets through the application of reliability engineering principles, root cause analysis, asset lifecycle management, and continuous improvement practices.

The Mobile Equipment Reliability Leader will partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and procurement teams to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and implement sustainable solutions that improve equipment availability, reduce lifecycle costs, and support operational excellence.

Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple facilities without direct authority.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement reliability strategies that improve equipment performance, availability, and lifecycle value.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Identify and execute reliability improvement initiatives that reduce downtime and operating costs.
  • Analyze maintenance and operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and sustain maintenance programs, asset health initiatives, and condition monitoring strategies.
  • Support preventive maintenance optimization, asset criticality assessments, and lifecycle asset planning.
  • Monitor reliability performance and drive continuous improvement using key performance indicators.
  • Partner with site teams, suppliers, and equipment manufacturers to support reliability and asset strategies.
  • Provide coaching and share reliability best practices across Building Products operations.
  • Support maintenance planning, budgeting, capital planning, and safety initiatives.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related technical discipline; OR equivalent military, technical, or industrial experience combined with relevant education or certifications.
  • Experience supporting heavy mobile equipment in manufacturing, mining, forestry, construction, aggregates, or similar industrial environments.
  • Experience applying reliability engineering, maintenance, or asset management principles to improve equipment performance.
  • Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions.
  • Experience using operational and maintenance data to identify and drive improvement opportunities.
  • Experience leading projects or influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to Building Products operations.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.
  • Experience supporting large mobile equipment fleets.
  • Experience with Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), or similar reliability methodologies.
  • Experience with condition monitoring technologies, lubrication programs, oil analysis, and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Experience with SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.
  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience developing asset lifecycle plans and fleet replacement strategies.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and training skills.
