THE ROLE: Metadata Coordinator, Gracenote Metadata Verification (Temporary)

The Metadata Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the verification, reconciliation, and ongoing accuracy of program metadata between internal A+E Global Media systems and Gracenote. This role will serve as a primary operational point of contact for Gracenote-related metadata issues, ensuring that program identifiers, episode titles, sequencing, and artwork are accurately represented and aligned across platforms.

The role will also partner closely with internal Technology and Metadata Operations teams to identify opportunities to streamline and automate verification workflows, reduce manual reconciliation, and improve overall metadata quality.

MORE ABOUT WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Metadata Verification & Reconciliation: Perform ongoing verification of program and episode metadata against Gracenote, ensuring accurate alignment of program IDs, episode titles, and episode sequencing.

Airtable Management: Maintain and manage the Gracenote verification Airtable base used to cross-reference internal and Gracenote identifiers, episode titles, sequencing, verification status, and outstanding discrepancies.

Episode Sequencing Validation: Review and validate episode sequencing between internal metadata and Gracenote records, identifying mismatches and coordinating corrections when necessary.

Issue Tracking & Resolution: Open, document, and track Zendesk tickets through Gracenote's support portal for metadata discrepancies and reconciliation requests. Maintain visibility into outstanding issues and follow through to resolution.

Gracenote Relationship Management: Serve as the operational lead for Gracenote-specific meetings and discussions. Communicate outstanding issues, escalate high-priority discrepancies, provide internal context, and coordinate follow-up actions with Gracenote representatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Metadata Operations, Content Operations, Technology, and other internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve metadata discrepancies that may impact downstream distribution or content discovery.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear documentation of verification procedures, escalation paths, recurring issues, and workflow requirements. Provide status updates on outstanding Gracenote discrepancies and reconciliation efforts as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years prior experience in the metadata publishing environment is preferred. Gracenote experience a plus.]
  • Experience working with entertainment, media, television, or digital content metadata preferred.
  • Must be detail-oriented with exceptional organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Proactive work ethic while maintaining a keen focus on accuracy in a detailed oriented workflow is a must.
  • Experience with metadata best practices, taxonomy a plus.
  • Experience with XML metadata and video encoding technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with digital delivery protocols and technologies a plus (FTP, SFTP, Aspera).
  • Experience working with ticketing systems such as Zendesk.
  • Experience with Airtable or similar database/workflow management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies across large sets of metadata.
  • Comfortable working with program identifiers, episodic hierarchies, titles, sequencing, and other structured metadata.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both internal technical teams and external partners.
  • Ability to independently own partner-facing workflows while collaborating across multiple internal teams.

Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A+E Global Media on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third party vendor with a duration/tenure of no longer than eighteen (18) months.

CompensationContract Hourly Pay Rate: $30.00
