Meet Axle Logistics: An award-winning logistics company that doesn't fit the mold. We pride ourselves on changing the industry standard and setting a new tone in the logistics field. Ask our current employees what it's like to work here, and you'll hear words not often used to describe a logistics shop: energetic, contagious, addicting, inspiring, meaningful, rewarding, and fun. At Axle Logistics, we strongly embrace the entrepreneurial spirit and have a passion for providing real opportunities to ambitious professionals who share our energy and competitive nature. Whether you're a recent college graduate or a seasoned business professional looking for a career change, we can provide you with a path for success through our comprehensive training program, professional development process, and unlimited access to a dynamic leadership team with years of experience in the industry. We love to see each other win. Positive attitudes produce positive results, and that spirit is the foundation of everything that we do. What you'll do: This 12-week rotational internship offers hands-on sales experience, direct insight into Axle's community impact, and dedicated professional development. As a Logistics Consultant, you are involved in sales, customer service, and the management of your customer's freight needs. You collaborate with third-party motor carriers and shippers alike, overseeing the full lifecycle of every shipment in your given book of business. By providing first-in-class customer service, you develop long-term relationships with customers. You manage the movement of your clients' goods, ensuring that they are picked up, transported safely, and delivered on time according to the client's expectations. You function as the liaison between clients, carriers, shippers, and receivers. In order to maintain market competitive pricing, you conduct contract negotiations. You collaborate with team members on pricing strategies and problem-solving. To build a portfolio of clients, you perform a high volume of "cold-calling." Staying up to date on market conditions and technology through internal and external training is an essential component to your success. You feel great about helping other companies find success through the management of their supply chain. And, seeing your efforts pay off in your paycheck gives you a great sense of accomplishment!
