Job Overview:

The Material Handler supports manufacturing operations by safely moving materials, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring parts are available where and when they are needed. This position is ideal for a safety-minded and dependable team member who enjoys a fast-paced environment, working with both computer systems and physical materials, and completing assigned work independently while remaining part of a supportive team. Because inventory is essential to every stage of manufacturing, this role provides a strong foundation for learning the operation and pursuing future growth within Ingersoll Rand.

Responsibilities:



  • Safely operate a forklift and other approved material-handling equipment in an active manufacturing facility.
  • Receive, move, stage, and deliver materials to support production and inventory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and complete material transactions in the company ERP system.
  • Use work instructions, location-bin information, and shared files to identify and place materials correctly.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications to review, filter, and utilize operational information.
  • Monitor inventory locations and report shortages, discrepancies, damaged material, or other concerns promptly.
  • Follow all safety procedures, traffic rules, work instructions, and facility standards while working around employees and equipment.
  • Maintain an organized work area and collaborate with production, warehouse, and inventory team members to meet daily priorities.



Requirements:



  • Valid driver's license.
  • At least one year of forklift operating experience.
  • At least six months of experience using an ERP system, such as SAP, Oracle Cloud, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • At least six months of experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook email, and Teams.
  • Ability to read and use electronic work instructions, shared files, and inventory location information.
  • Strong commitment to safe equipment operation in a facility with pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

Preferences:



  • Six months or more of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
  • Experience supporting inventory control, material staging, receiving, or production operations.



Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements?


  • This position is fully site based. The regular day-shift schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Overtime may be required based on business needs and is generally scheduled before the regular shift during the week. Occasional Saturday overtime may be scheduled from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM. No regular travel or company vehicle is required.
