Position summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior ITC Paralegal with deep knowledge of Section 337 procedures and complex litigation practices to support attorneys across multiple offices handling highpriority matters before the U.S. International Trade Commission. This role requires the ability to deliver exceptional work under tight deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Position responsibilities

  • Coordinate, prepare, organize, and interpret complex legal documents related to ITC investigations and IP litigation.
  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and exhibits with courts and agencies, including the ITC.
  • Manage largescale discovery, including document review workflows, productions, and trial exhibit preparation.
  • Conduct ediscovery searches and manage document review using platforms such as Relativity.
  • Support deposition preparation, including exhibit compilation, witness materials, and logistical coordination.
  • Perform factual and legal research using internal systems and external databases.
  • Build, maintain, and oversee case databases, document repositories, and litigation files for ITC and IP matters.
  • Coordinate trial logistics, including remote and inperson setups, vendor management, and travel arrangements.
  • Provide onsite and incourt support during trials, hearings, and agency proceedings.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, internal teams, and external vendors to streamline workflows and enhance litigation processes.
  • Monitor changes to ITC rules and procedures and communicate updates to case teams.
  • Perform administrative and filing tasks in accordance with department and firm policies.
  • Work overtime and travel as required by case needs.

Experience, skills, and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of IP litigation paralegal experience, including substantial ITC / Section 337 experience required.
  • Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Must live within a commutable distance to the firm office with ability to come into the office 3-4 days per week.
  • Demonstrated trial and arbitration experience, including direct involvement in ITC proceedings (e.g., witness preparation, exhibit management, hearing logistics, and post-hearing briefing support).
  • Expert knowledge of ITC filings, procedures, rules, and Section 337 investigation processes, as well as applicable court and agency procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency with legal research tools and government systems, including LexisNexis/Westlaw, PACER, EDIS, USPTO systems, and related online resources.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-based collaboration and AI-enabled productivity tools.
  • In-depth experience with e-discovery and litigation support platforms (e.g., Relativity, LiveNote, CaseMap, TimeMap, DTSearch), as well as case/matter management and database systems.
  • Proven ability to prepare and manage litigation materials, including motions, witness lists, exhibit lists, trial binders, and related filings.
  • Solid command of timekeeping, expense reporting, and legal billing practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet frequent deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Experience coordinating trial preparation and logistics, including attending trials and hearings and providing on-site support to attorneys.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, clients, staff, and external vendors.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and travel as required by case needs.
  • Commitment to complying with the Rules of Professional Conduct and maintaining the highest ethical standards.

Salary

San Francisco based applicants only: The target annual salary range for this role is currently $132,000 - $163,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus.
