Basic Function
HF Sinclair in Sinclair, WY is seeking a Machinist / Pump Mechanic who will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining pumps, rotating equipment, and associated mechanical systems throughout the refinery. This position supports safe, reliable, and efficient refinery operations by applying advanced mechanical and machining skills to maintain critical equipment. Job Duties

SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion. Experience
Minimum three (3) years of industrial machinist, pump mechanic, or rotating equipment maintenance experience preferred. Experience in refining, petrochemical, power generation, mining, pipeline, or heavy industrial settings preferred. Education Level
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Completion of a Machinist Apprenticeship Program, Journeyman certification, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience preferred.Certifications in automotive, heavy equipment repairs preferred. Required Skills
Strong knowledge of rotating equipment maintenance and repair.Ability to operate machine shop equipment safely and efficiently.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and maintenance documentation.Knowledge of precision measurement and alignment techniques.Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with computer-based maintenance systems. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility Work Conditions
Outdoors environment based. Petroleum refinery, plant environment, including not limited to chemicals, elevated work areas, and tanks, rotating equipment, and working in confined spaces. Able to work in adverse weather conditions. Required to work a flexible schedule, (e.g. overtime, weekends, callouts or holidays). Benefits

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs., pushing and/or pulling up to 50 lbs., climbing up to 100 ft., ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential, valid State driver's license and proof of insurance required, perceiving color differences, wearing personal protective equipment (beards not permitted), and strenuous physical activity.
