This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for someone looking to put their accounting skills to work, build relationships across the organization, and potentially grow into a permanent position.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, offering a consistent weekday schedule.

Some flexibility with start and end times to help accommodate your schedule.

Ability to work overtime averaging 40-45 hours per week

What You'll Do

• Support daily accounting operations: Prepare and analyze reports related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, and other plant accounting activities.
• Assist with month-end close: Prepare, consolidate, and reconcile financial reports to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Maintain financial accuracy: Review account balances, record accounting transactions, and investigate discrepancies.
• Coordinate inventory activities: Support physical inventory counts and assist with inventory reconciliations and adjustments.
• Analyze costs and production: Review cost and production variances, identify trends, and provide insights to support informed business decisions.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives: Partner with plant personnel and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs.
• Leverage technology: Use Coupa for invoicing and billing, an Oracle-based ERP system for financial processes, and advanced Excel tools to analyze data and prepare reports.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in plant accounting, manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, or a related accounting role.
• Understanding of general accounting principles, account reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost or production variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including analyzing data, performing complex calculations, and creating detailed reports.
• Familiarity with Oracle-based ERP systems and Coupa is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate financial reporting.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to communicate effectively with accounting and operations teams.
