Position Overview Anakim Consulting is hiring Junior, Mid, and Senior-level Application Security Engineers to support application security activities including security code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and application security testing. In this role, the engineer utilizes application security tools to identify security weaknesses and works with development teams to remediate vulnerabilities. The successful candidate may assist in implementing security controls within applications and contribute to secure software development practices. Additionally, they may participate in security assessments of applications and help maintain application security documentation and tracking of security findings. Key Responsibilities (Across All Levels) Supporting application security activities, which include security code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and application security testing Utilizing application security tools to identify security weaknesses Working with development teams to remediate vulnerabilities Assisting in implementing security controls within applications Contributing to secure software development practices Participating in security assessments of applications Maintaining application security documentation and tracking security findings Position Requirements Program-Level Requirements and Qualifications U.S. citizenship, no dual citizenship Current CBP Suitability or eligibility to obtain secure access approval for CBP Entry on Duty (EOD) Availability to work on-site in Ashburn Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to work across varied staff levels in a government-contractor blended team environment Position Level-Specific Requirements include: Application Security Engineer Junior: 1+ years of experience Application Security Engineer: 3+ years of experience Application Security Engineer Senior: 5+ years of experience #ApplicationSecurity #AppSec #SecurityEngineer #VulnerabilityManagement #SecureCoding Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Salary Range This position offers a full-time W2 salary plus eligibility to participate in the company's benefits program.
