Description

Turn insights into opportunities. Help drive Inpro's next stage of growth.

Are you curious about what drives business growth? Do you enjoy connecting data, researching opportunities, and keeping projects moving? Join Inpro as a Business Development Analyst and help our National Accounts and Market Development teams turn market intelligence into action.

In this role, you'll analyze sales performance, uncover new business opportunities, and coordinate strategic project pursuits-from initial research through bid setup and active follow-up. You'll work across teams, gain exposure to diverse markets, and provide insights that help sales leaders prioritize opportunities and make informed decisions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who brings strong analytical skills, initiative, and a desire to learn.

What You'll Do

Turn data into actionable insights

  • Analyze sales performance, quoting activity, pipeline health, conversion rates, account penetration, and product mix.

  • Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports using Salesforce, Tableau, and related tools.

  • Identify growth opportunities across accounts, markets, geographies, and product categories.

  • Prepare business reviews and communicate trends, risks, and practical recommendations to sales leadership.

Research markets and uncover opportunities

  • Identify prospective customers, major construction projects, account expansions, and emerging market trends.

  • Use construction databases, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry publications, and other research platforms to gather intelligence.

  • Research target accounts, facility portfolios, decision-makers, and key project stakeholders.

  • Qualify and route leads to the appropriate sales teams, providing clear information to support follow-up.

Keep strategic pursuits moving

  • Support large and complex opportunities in markets such as data centers, healthcare, hospitality, airports, industrial facilities, retail, and education.

  • Coordinate initial project and bid setup by gathering scope details, timelines, product opportunities, requirements, and supporting documents.

  • Maintain Salesforce opportunity records and project trackers so deadlines, responsibilities, and next steps stay visible.

  • Coordinate internal kickoffs, handoffs, and follow-up, flagging missing information or changes that could affect a pursuit.

Equip teams for success

  • Develop account profiles, project briefs, market summaries, presentations, and meeting-preparation materials.

  • Support strategic account planning, competitive research, and business reviews.

  • Help maintain accurate, consistent CRM data and strengthen lead-follow-up and opportunity-management processes.

  • Collaborate with National Accounts, Market Development, Sales Operations, Marketing, Estimating, and field sales to improve information sharing and simplify recurring work.

What You'll Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Data Analytics, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Up to three years of relevant experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data cleanup, formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and charts.

  • Experience with-or a willingness to learn-Salesforce, Tableau, and market-research platforms.

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and the ability to create clear, professional presentations.

  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to organize and interpret information from multiple sources.

  • Curiosity, attention to detail, and the initiative to investigate incomplete information.

  • Clear communication, dependable follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • A collaborative approach and sound judgment when handling customer, project, pricing, and sales information.

Internship, co-op, or project experience in sales, business analysis, market research, finance, consulting, construction, or project management is a plus. Experience with CRM data, dashboards, large datasets, or external research tools is also beneficial.
