Description Responsible for phlebotomy and processing of appropriate samples for testing, to include:1) computer inquiry and entry to maintain patient demographics as well as test ordering details in multiple computer systems in accordance with compliance guidelines; 2.) Processing and preparing samples for testing at PRMCE laboratories and Patient Service Centers. 3.) Processing, preparing and packaging samples for delivery to reference labs. Work is conducted in accordance with all regulatory accreditation agency requirements. Processes all specimen types and sources to be analyzed by the laboratory including blood, urine, cultures and other body fluids. Phlebotomy procedures are required which includes venous and capillary punctures, and urine collections for medical and legal testing procedures (Legal collections depending on location).
