About the Job

The Cardiovascular Division at the University of Minnesota has a well established regional and national reputation as a source of Cardiovascular Imaging, clinical care and research. The Division is now recruiting a faculty member on the academic clinical scholar or clinician track, in its Imaging section. The candidate will work closely with the Cardiovascular Division and the service line to support and expand the University's clinical and academic missions.

Required areas of expertise include general clinical cardiology, advanced training and expertise in advanced imaging patient care management, as well as proven knowledge and success in research publication and mentorship. Attainment of externally funded grant submissions, experience in large clinical research trials, and experience in supporting post graduate fellowship training are desirable. Evidence of prior leadership in clinical program development; and ideally have demonstrated national leadership and/or service is also preferred.

Qualifications

Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated high-level qualifications in education, research and clinical care. Internal Medicine board certified or board eligible status, Cardiology Board certified or board eligible and a Minnesota medical license is required.

Applicants must have the ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA category while in the United States.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: Depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment: 75%-100% Appointment

Position Type: Faculty and P&A Staff
