Purpose:

The QA Manager will work with the site management team to maintain the Quality System, promote Continuous Improvement and drive Customer Satisfaction. This position have the responsibility of being the subject matter expert regarding Quality Systems, Quality Control activities, Quality Training and Change Control management for the facility.

Primary Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Oversight of ISO 9001-2008/ AS9100C Quality Management System, Management of the Quality Department, QC Lab & Inspectors, Quality Audits (internal and external) and Quality Management System maintenance. Primary point of contact for all quality-related activity.

Daily interaction with Customer Service to manage Customer Complaint System & drive Customer Satisfaction while working closely with customers and the management team.

Essential Functions:


  • Supervise, train, and coordinate the activities of the department personnel.
  • Implement Quality Improvement Programs
  • Make determination of acceptance/rejection of all physically and chemically tested products
  • Maintain, coordinate, and distribute updated manufacturing specs and audit requirements
  • Ensure calibration of all test equipment and instruments at specified frequencies
  • Work with sales & customer service teams to address customer's quality concerns
  • Perform internal quality auditing and quality training
  • Maintain records as required by company policy
  • Create management reports
  • Promote strong working relationship between Quality and Manufacturing
  • Other duties as assigned



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Self-starter, self motivated with a take-charge attitude
  • Previous experience in industrial management
  • Demonstrated responsibility for maintenance of ISO 9001-2008/AS9100C, and various quality systems
  • Experience implementing process improvement, true root cause identification, and verifiable corrective action
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a quality leadership function
  • ASQ certification of comparable experience required
  • Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt is preferred
  • Computer literate using MS Office programs



Working Hours and Conditions, including Travel Required:

Administrative business hours and availability to conduct business travel.
