Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, formal training programs, or on-the-job training. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

The mechanic I will perform automotive service work such as oil changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections and brake replacement. This will be the lead person for intake and assessment of the growing number of electric low speed vehicles. This will be the primary mechanic involved in the development and continuing operation of a quick lube program requested by UGA's fleet management working group.

Perform automotive service tasks such as changing oil, rotating tires, fluid exchange, replacing service brake components and similar mechanical repairs.

Perform maintenance and repair of EV- LSV such as battery service/replacement and service of mechanical and automotive components.

Inspects, adjusts, and/or replaces worn or damaged drive train and ancillary parts to restore vehicles to federal motor vehicle safety standards.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair worn, damaged, or otherwise inoperative electrical components including but not limited to batteries, controllers, and drive train components.
