Job Summary:

The Division of Geriatric Medicine invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to conduct research in health economics and health services research to improve the care of the aging population. The successful candidate will develop and lead an independent, externally-funded research agenda, collaborate with other members of the faculty and mentor trainees in quantitative research techniques. We are particularly interested in candidates with interests in Alzheimer's Disease, end-of-life care, and Medicare policy & patient outcomes. Collaborations within the Division and across campus are encouraged. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead new research studies related to aging and health
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Mentor others in research methods, secondary dataset use

Qualifications:
|
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Applicants must possess a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in health economics, health policy & management, health services research or a related field and have demonstrated research interests in improving the care of the geriatric population. Preferred Qualifications:
- Evidence of prior success or future potential to publish high-impact publications in geriatrics
- Evidence of prior success or future potential to obtain extramural funding
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Econometric methods and/or similar quantitative methods training
- Familiarity with research datasets such as claims, EHR, and survey data
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams

Anticipated Pay Range:
|
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $100,000 - $130,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
