Three 12s weekend shift: This position qualifies for a $15,000 commitment incentive which will be paid over a three (3) year work commitment. Equal installments will be paid after each six (6) months of work completed. Learn more about the incentive program here: https://jobs.unchealthcare.org/pages/imaging-commitment-incentive-program Summary:Seeking experienced vascular ultrasound technologist to join our team of compassionate sonographers dedicated to patient care and diagnostic quality. The department performs all major types of vascular testing with opportunities to learn specialty examinations such as TCD, follow up endovascular aneurysm repair, and research studies. This position is at the main hospital in Chapel Hill and services inpatients and outpatients. Technologists are responsible for image acquisition, transfer, and communication of preliminary findings. Responsibilities:Performs vascular ultrasound evaluations with Doppler and physiologic testing Writes preliminary reports and communicates acute findings to care team Obtains pertinent patient health history prior to examination Prepares procedure room and equipment for daily use and is responsible for timely and efficient room preparation between procedures Troubleshoots and identifies any equipment problems and reports to appropriate supervisor May perform staff training and education Other Information Other information: Education Requirements: * Associate's degree in Sonography, Radiology or a related field within 3 months of hire, OR * Completion of a twelve (12) month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire. Licensure/Certification Requirements: * Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire. Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually. Professional Experience Requirements: * No prior experience required.
