Join Our Team as an Audiologist at UNC Ear, Nose & Throat at Nash!

UNC Ear, Nose & Throat at Nash is seeking a dedicated and skilled Audiologist to join our team. We offer a flexible schedule tailored to the ideal candidate, with the option to work full-time or part-time.

As an Audiologist, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional hearing healthcare. You will conduct comprehensive diagnostic audiological evaluations for patients of all ages, ensuring thorough and accurate assessments. This includes hearing aid testing, evaluation, selection, and fittings designed to meet each patient's unique needs.

In addition, you will perform electrophysiological and balance testing as part of our comprehensive diagnostic services. Counseling patients and their families is also a key aspect of this role, where you'll provide clear and compassionate explanations of test results and guide them in exploring rehabilitative options.

Collaboration is integral to our care model, and you'll work closely with ENT physicians to communicate diagnostic findings and develop effective treatment plans tailored to each patient.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintains an environment of safety for patients, self and others.
2. Performs comprehensive audiologic evaluations, balance assessments, and electrophysiological tests.
3. Provides amplification services including, hearing aid assessment testing, and real ear measurements.
4. Consults with and makes recommendation on hearing disorders to physicians.
5. Coordinates care with physicians and other providers.
6. Completes chart notes for each patient seen and sends written report to referring physician and primary care physician.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:
* Requires AuD or Master's degree in Audiology with continuous active certificate.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* NC State Audiology License; BCLS; Master's level candidates also need a license/certificate from NC Hearing Aid Dealer's and Fitters Board)
Professional Experience Requirements:
* Audiologist experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
* Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse customer, colleague, and vendor population. This includes listening, sales, and problem-solving skills. Strong keyboard/computer/Audiology diagnostic and hearing aid software and equipment experience. Must be able to organize time and prioritize numerous duties. Must deal with customers in a caring and respectful manner.
