Description
As part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University is seeking a Clinical Coordinator to promote Marian University's Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by providing administrative leadership as well as clinical coordination for the faculty and students in distance programs. We are seeking applicants who are organized, detailed-oriented, accurate, proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and adhere to the strictest confidentiality regarding data and information. This position reports directly to the Dean or Associate Dean designee.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.
  • Supervise administrative assistants in the Leighton School of Nursing (LSON) and distribute LSON-wide work to other assistants as needed.
  • Manage and process all university paperwork regarding LSON faculty, staff, and students.
  • Manage hiring process for new faculty (includes adjuncts) and staff.
  • Prepare and maintain contracts and files for all new hires, including faculty, staff, and student workers.
  • Create program materials such as awards, flyers for events, and orientation packets for LSON.
  • Oversee and assist with occasional event planning for special groups.
  • Support the Dean and Associate/Assistant Deans/Directors.
  • Coordinate all aspects of office mailings, including mass mailings to faculty, staff and/or students.
  • Generate correspondence to and from the LSON.
  • Maintain an accurate budget for LSON in collaboration with the Dean.
  • Maintain data for the departments as needed.
  • Ensure clinical compliance for remote students and faculty.
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding clinical compliance requirements in a timely manner.
  • Answer telephones and take messages.
  • Schedule appointments, committee meetings, and faculty meetings upon request of the Dean or other members of the LSON and Health Professions leadership teams.
  • Maintain office documents and files.
  • Order and manage office supplies and marketing products for LSON.
  • Order simulation supplies in collaboration with LSON leadership team.
  • Manage all documents requiring Dean's approval.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Required Qualification:


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree in a business, management, leadership or health related area are preferred; candidates with an associate degree or other areas of experience may be considered.
  • Five or more years of related experience (preferably in higher education) and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to write, analyze and interpret financial reports, and legal documents and utilize this information in planning processes
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions/findings into strategic and tactical plans.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to connect with a multitude of audiences
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Project and event management experience
  • Strong initiative and critical-thinking skills
  • Solid flow-through with all constituents
