RPCO is seeking motivated individuals with a desire to progress innovation and technology initiatives across the NNPP. The selected candidates will be embedded in the RPCO field office at PSNS with a focus on one or more of the following areas (or other focus areas as opportunities arise): * Robotics applications The selected candidate will have a focus on NNL/BPMI innovation integration with the Shipyards while also supporting RPCO responsibilities in the Shipyard. RPCO personnel provide engineering support and independent oversight of work associated with installation, testing, and modification of reactor plant systems, components, and safety systems. This position involves direct interaction with Navy personnel, Shipyard engineering and operations personnel, and local government representatives. This position is an excellent broadening opportunity through hands-on experience in a Shipyard environment. The overall goal of the assignment is to allow our employees the opportunity to develop new skills and experience the Shipyard/Fleet environment while supporting key Horizon Planning initiatives. This is a temporary assignment reporting to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard RPCO office. This is to be a 6-month assignment. At the end of the assignment term, the employee will return to their previous position. *This position is limited to lateral moves only Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university and a minimum of nine years of relevant experience or; MS degree in engineering or Master's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of seven years of relevant experience or; Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified or qualified SIT and three years as EOOW in the Nuclear Operations Program Preferred Skills

Pay Range
$103,100.00 - $161,100.00 annually

Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a national asset solely dedicated to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
