A partner of the Optum Care network, WellMed Medical Group, is seeking an Associate Medical Director (AMD) to oversee the CareCoach Connect program in East Texas - Tyler, Longview, Nacogdoches, Lufkin. The CareCoach Connect program provides both longitudinal and episodic medical care to mostly Medicare-aged patients on a Medicare Advantage plan. That care is delivered by Advance Practice Clinicians (APCs) in close collaboration (~1:5 ratio) with AMDs. The APCs and AMDs will conduct visits in patient's homes and virtually to manage their acute and chronic conditions. This role will lead a team comprised of several physicians and their respective APC team (referred to as a POD). The AMD meets regularly with the clinical and operational leadership locally and regionally. The salary range for this role is $269,500 to $425,500 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
