Overview

Charleston, WV is looking for a Senior Structural Bridge Design Engineer with at least 10 years of related experience.

As a Senior Structural Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters, you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients. You'll have opportunities to interact directly with clients, become a valued partner on a variety of high-impact projects, and apply fresh insights at every stage of a bridge's life cycle. Qualifications

Positions Available -



  • Senior Engineer - at minimum 10 years related bridge design experience


Required Qualifications:



  • At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
  • Valid PE required


Required Skills and Abilities:



  • WVDOH Bridge experience
  • Advanced technical skills, substantial technical and professional training, and expertise in bridge design
  • Comprehensive knowledge of bridge analysis, design and detailing methods
  • Ability to interact with and coordinate the design efforts of multiple engineering disciplines
  • Ability to coordinate the design efforts on multiple projects
  • Ability to act as Project Manager behalf when needed


General Responsibilities of a Senior Structural Bridge Design Engineer:



  • Will take on leadership roles and will be responsible for the delivery of projects, will assist Projects Managers in identifying issues and developing solutions. Senior Engineers will also serve as technical leads on complex projects.
  • Perform at a high technical and professional level, independently handling complex responsibilities on multiple concurrent projects
  • Lead structural design effort on assignments and tasks
  • Lead projects in the absence of the Project Manager
  • Independently lead and coordinate the structural analysis, design, and contract plan preparation for multiple bridge projects
  • Provide guidance and direction to younger engineers assigned to the same project
  • Investigate and resolve unique structural design and detailing issues
  • Assist in the development of proposals and marketing of clients
  • Interact with clients, subconsultants, contractors, fabricators etc. on a routine basis
  • Participate in presentations to clients, agencies and the public
