Asset & Wealth Management - Credit Facility Management Team - Vice President

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Asset & Wealth Management ("AWM"):

AWM invests in private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure and other alternative investments around the world on behalf of third parties, Goldman Sachs and its employees. AWM operates a global platform and our team works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. We look for individuals with versatile skills and a desire to learn.

Within AWM, the Credit Facility Management ("CFM") team is dedicated to managing the platform's credit facilities, which are a critical component of the performance we deliver to our investors. The CFM team is responsible for maintaining compliance with concentration limits, borrowing base covenants and reporting obligations, as well as ensuring successful relationships with lenders and agents. The CFM team works closely with several adjacent groups in AWM, including (i) Finance & DCM (source, negotiate and execute fund financing), (ii) Platform Management and Operations (manage the funds' liquidity and lifecycle) and (iii) Investment teams (source, execute and monitor underlying investments).

Vice Presidents on the CFM team will be responsible for maintaining a series of credit facilities across strategies, managing lender/agent relationships and overseeing the day-to-day work of the team. The successful applicant will demonstrate a consistent track record of achievement and have an ability to understand credit agreements, successfully work with several internal and external groups, manage lender/agent relationships and drive CFM team engagement.

Specific Responsibilities May Include:

  • Managing a team of analysts and associates
  • Oversight of a series of credit facilities including underlying covenants, concentration limits, borrowing base and reporting compliance
  • Tracking/collating underlying asset data
  • Facilitating utilization requests and servicing events
  • Managing lender and agent relationships
  • Assisting with facility negotiation and oversight of pre-execution approvals
  • Tracking, reporting and analyzing detailed performance metrics
  • Creating management presentations/responding to ad hoc requests and preparing analyses for same
  • Supporting/furthering technology initiatives related to the above responsibilities
  • Additional responsibilities will be based on the needs of the business and the candidate's specific skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or other business discipline
  • 6+ years' Asset management / fund financing / credit facility experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and detail orientation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, oral as well as written
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently in a small team, exhibit initiative and be proactive
  • Ability to organize and analyze large volumes of information
  • Interest in working on technology initiatives
  • Team player, willing to help in areas not explicitly related to job duties
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills
