The Physician Specialist functions as a specialist and consultant for Rutgers' Global Tuberculous Institute and has clinical responsibility for diagnostic and clinical sessions.

Duties include, Provides physician coverage at Rutgers' Lattimore Clinic or satellite clinics.

Directs the activities of medical and other personnel engaged in the rendering of medical treatment to patients.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience

Completion of a medical internship or equivalent; licensure to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey; certification or eligible for certification by the American Board of the appropriate specialty; demonstrated competence in hospital practice; ability to assume clinical and administrative responsibility for section of the medical and treatment services; Credentials Committee or equivalent recommendation; and approval by the

Central Office Board on Professional Standards.
