Salary Commensurate With Experience
Posting Summary
The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the Rutgers University School of Arts and Sciences seeks to fill a full-time Non-Tenure Track Teaching Professor position to teach and coordinate 3 courses per semester in the area of Environmental Geology. The instructor is expected to teach 3 courses per semester at the 100 to 300 level with 1 to 2 of these courses enrolling ~150 students in each section. The instructor would also work with department officers to help design future courses and directions within the Environmental Geology Major and Minor Tracks. The university has a highly diverse undergraduate student population, which is represented in these courses. Therefore, prior experience teaching to diverse groups and with in-person and virtual learning is preferred.

We particularly welcome applications from candidates committed to promotion of equity and inclusion through their teaching methods, service to the university and community, and student mentorship within one of the most diverse university communities in the country.
