As a HVAC/R Service Technician, you will repair, maintain, replace and retrofit all manner of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment for the benefit of our customers.



  • Diagnosis, repair, installation, and preventative maintenance of commercial and industrial refrigeration equipment at restaurants, convenience stores, liquor stores, supermarkets, hotels, and cold storage warehouses.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration, controls, and electrical systems.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and service reports to explain work completed and track parts, refrigerant, and time.
  • Communicate with customers to explain the nature of your work.
  • Frequent communication with service manager on scheduling, mechanical troubleshooting, ordering parts, etc.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures and governing requirements.


Qualifications

  • Journeyman Refrigeration license in RI and/or MA
  • EPA universal refrigerant use certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience in Commercial and Industrial environments


Work Environment

This position requires the employee to work both inside and outside. The employee may be subject to loud noises and hot and cold temperatures while on work site. May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces. Will climb ladders and stairs every day. Will work on roofs and within Mechanical and boiler rooms

Position Type

Work day is based on 8-hour day between the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime will be available and work during nights and weekends will be required. Must be available for work during On Call hours (Rotating). Travel - up to 50-mile radius from Providence will be required every day.
