JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: APostdoctoral Scholarposition is available atThe Pennsylvania State Universityin a Plant Cell Wall Laboratory under the supervision of Dr. Marcia Buanafina. The successful candidate will study Plant Cell Walls in grasses, focused on plant cell wall feruloylation, and make use of Biochemical and Molecular approaches. Key Responsibilities include:
Education and Experience A Ph.D in Plant Molecular Biology (molecular cloning, vector construction, genetic transformation, protein expression and purification, etc.) is required. Experience with experimental techniques including microscopy, LC/MS, FTIR/Raman, etc.,is a plus. Ability to multi-task, to work independently with strong work ethic and self-motivation are essential.
