JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The School of Science at Penn State Behrend has a need for part-time lecturers in Mathematics Education for Fall 2023 (August - December) and Spring 2024 (January - May) semesters.

Teaching could include courses in math education and curriculum and instruction, as well as field supervision. These positions are dependent upon class enrollments; enrollments of less than 9 students may necessitate canceling the class and position. Salary is competitive. Responsibilities include using a syllabus and course materials approved by the School of Science to teach courses offered in our baccalaureate programs.

A Master of Science degree or higher is required; evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching including use of current technology; and evidence of a commitment to working collegially and with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
