Security Officer Positions with Norton Healthcare

The Security Officer provides a safe and secure environment for Norton Healthcare properties, patients, employees, and visitors. The initiatives taken by the Security Officer contribute to overall patient experience, quality of care, and fulfillment of the Norton mission, vision, and values.

This position is on-site and will be based at one of our hospital locations.

Responsibilities:

• Performing at emergency or crisis situations according to procedure or protocol.
• Maintaining department-issued equipment in good working order; identifying /reporting equipment problems requiring maintenance/repair.
• Supporting Dispatch on an interim basis as defined.
• Applying knowledge of departmental and system policies and procedures to make sound, independent decisions.
• Monitoring of: intrusion detection, infant security, panic alarms, emergency call boxes, facility alarms.
• Providing patrols, escort services, and transport of patients as needed by the facility.

*This role requires driving Norton Healthcare vehicles, which could include transporting patients and visitors. You must have a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
