POSITION TITLE:	Medical Technologist
DEPARTMENT:	Testing Laboratory
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:	Laboratory Director
DATE NEEDED:	Immediately

POSITION'S PRIMARY PURPOSE

Serological testing of donor units and apheresis products in accordance with the guidelines of regulatory agencies and the training of new processing techs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education: A BS degree in medical technology or BS in Science with appropriate certification in MT

Specific Skills: Word processing knowledge and the ability to recognize and resolve discrepant results in testing

Licenses: MT(ASCP) or BB(ASCP), LA CLS-G license

Experience: Medical Technology experience in blood banking, clinical chemistry, immunology or molecular testing
