Staff Nurse, Cardiac Imaging (Per Diem/Resource)

Position Details

  • Day Shift, Monday through Friday, with varies start times

  • Primary location Glenview (Glenbrook Hospital) with some coverage at additional sites, including Gurnee, Highland Park, Skokie & Vernon Hills.

Job Duties

Perform noninvasive cardiac testing within the scope of services for the Cardiac Imaging Departments.

The Cardiac Imaging RN plays a key role in ensuring all patients receive the appropriate, high quality, safe test by utilizing nursing asessment skills and cardiovascular knowledge to communicate any pertinent data to the ordering physician and cardiologist supervising the stres lab. The RN performs patient education before, during and after test and/or procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in Cardiac Imaging required.

  • IL RN license

  • Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred

  • BLS/CPR and ACLS certification required (AHA)
