FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: M-F 8a-5p, 1 Saturday 9a-1p monthly Position Summary The Front Desk Specialist performs reception, registration, and secretarial functions in support of the daily operations of the Center while functioning as the focal communication source in the unit. The incumbent is responsible for all aspects of front office duties including reception, patient scheduling, registration, processing billing information, charge entry, payment posting, batch balancing, cash reconciliation/balancing, and clinic specific health information management duties, etc. The combination of these functions will be determined by the Manager or Supervisor to meet the needs of the clinic. This is an intermediate clerical position working under limited supervision. This position is highly visible and is the initial contact for patient and guests of the Center, requiring a customer service oriented individual with a professional appearance and manner at all times. Work situations are a variety of regular, reoccurring duties and functions which require discretion, decision making within the scope of the position's responsibilities, attention to detail, prioritization, organization, and excellent interpersonal relation skills. Independent decision-making is expected during execution of daily routine duties. Knowledge of all department functions and various insurance plan provisions is essential in providing quick and accurate referrals. Internal contacts are general in nature and include staff and management. External contacts include patients, families, health care providers, and the general public.Requirements

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $18.56 - $26.72 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
