Job Description

Foreman / Superintendent

Position Summary:

Upstate Companies I, LLC is seeking an experienced Foremen / Superintendents. This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all of the activities of a construction site according to project blueprints and schedule plans. Their duties include coordinating subcontractors, performing quality control and safety checks and providing on-site direction when preparing construction sites.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate the required labor, supplies, materials and other project requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, and other construction management to determine budget and timeline.
  • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
  • Create schedules for workers and subcontractors.
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontractors for efficient completion of the project
  • Maintain a daily log for the job site's operations, reporting to management as necessary.
  • Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
  • Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient.
  • Ensure Safety requirements are implemented on the jobsite



Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Decision making ability.
  • Strong customer service skills with focus on providing solutions.
  • Ability to conduct negotiations with clients, vendors and subcontractors.
  • Firm understanding of building construction processes and tools.
  • Working with engineering design, procurement and construction practices and procedures
  • Some knowledge of project management cost systems
  • Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation
