Associate Administrator, Family and Community Medicine - Jefferson Center City

The Associate Administrator has responsibility for the Geriatrics and Palliative Care division(s) within Family and Community Medicine. Responsibilities include financial and operational oversight of the daily business operations for the division(s) in the areas of finance, divisional management and administration, clinical practice activities, clinical trials oversight, personnel management, facility management, operational leadership and oversight of provider based practices including responsibility for adherence to Joint Commission and Department of Health requirements. Associate Administrator is also responsible for supporting special projects for each division and for enterprise efforts spearheaded by each division through project management and ensuring administrative and operational infrastructure is in place.

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Prepares budgets pertaining to clinical and administrative activities in accordance with guidelines and in partnership with DFCM business manager and administrator. Prepares supporting budget schedules and performs budget reconciliation and analysis. Prepares financial forecasts and explain budget variances on an ongoing basis.
  • Monitors the activity of the divisionsrsquo; accounts. Reviews and performs monthly reconciliation of all financial statements. Analyzes and reports variances to prior year and budget, as applicable. Provides summary data to Division Directors and Department on an ongoing basis.
  • Prepares divisional financial/statistical reports and analysis as requested by the Division Directors and Department.
  • Provides oversight for divisional revenue cycle and billing functions including oversight of work queues and accounts receivable follow-up.
  • Provides oversight for clinical productivity and is responsible for clinical care optimization and efficiency.
  • Supervises the divisional administrative support staff, or delegate supervisory function where appropriate. Handles personnel issues including disciplinary and performance problems. Oversees and approves all timekeeping electronically.
  • Provides oversight for divisional outpatient office sites. Ensures proper staffing and provide assistance with outpatient operations as needed.
  • Ensures all areas of accountability are compliant with all federal, state and local regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum 5 years personnel management preferred

Budget management experience

Clinical operations experience

Experience in academic medical center

Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jeffersonrsquo;s clinical entities or at the University.
