Cardiac Surgery Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) Jefferson Einstein

The cardiac surgery program at Einstein Jefferson Phila is seeking an experienced, FT, non-surgical cardiac surgery APC!This program is rewarding, bringing advanced cardiac surgery services to an underserved population. This position offers lifestyle flexibility.Our team values a work-life balance. Schedule is primarily 4 10#39;s, and dayshift. There will be an every 3^rd weekend responsibility.

In this role, the APCwill primarily coordinate and manage the outpatient cardiac surgery service in conjunction with attending surgeons. This is a hybrid role with primarily outpatient, but inpatient responsibilities as well.

Responsibilities (as approved by the Medical Staff Board):

• Primarily responsible for coordination and management of Cardiac Surgery Clinic - care related to outpatients, pre and postoperative heart surgery
• Responsible for inpatient care related to pre and postoperative heart surgery patients in the CCU and Telemetry unit as defined by surgical attending.
• Perform and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic bedside procedures
• Assure clear and concise transfer of clinical information between nurses, clinical staff and physicians
• Assist in data collecting of information related to any research trials within the department of Cardiothoracic
• Maintaining communication with other clinical service

• Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear normal conversations
• Working Conditions: Routine activities involved in patient clinical care

• NCCPA certification or National Certification as Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Required
• 1 - 2 yearsrsquo; experience required, preferably in CCU/Cardiac Surgery setting
• Pennsylvania State license for physician assistant or CRNP
