JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Department of Mathematics at The Pennsylvania State University (University Park Campus, PA, USA) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or an Associate Professor position in Mathematics. The position is open to all areas of pure mathematics, including dynamical systems, geometry, geometrical analysis, and algebra. Candidates whose research complements existing strengths or fosters connections within mathematics and across departments are encouraged to apply. Candidates forAssistant Professormust possess a Ph.D. (or equivalent terminal degree) in Mathematics or a closely related field by the appointment start date; must have demonstrated ability as a teacher or research worker; and must have shown definite evidence of growth in scholarly or professional achievement. Candidates forAssociate Professormust possess the same qualifications as the assistant professor but must also provide evidence of an established reputation in scholarly or professional achievement. The department is committed to an inclusive academic community and welcomes applications from underrepresented groups. In addition to research in Mathematics or closely related fields, the position includes teaching in the Mathematics department at the undergraduate and graduate level, and service duties.
