Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA),, the Director of Development (DOD) will serve as a key member of the OIA team focused on substantiating Jeffersonrsquo;s commitment to the community through the Jefferson Collaborative for Health Equity (the Collaborative) and other community-facing programs as a philanthropic campaign platform with internal and external stakeholders. The DOD will be integral to the development of the strategic fundraising direction for Jeffersonrsquo;s many initiatives that address health equity and promote community engagement, leading efforts to raise the profile of these initiatives through individual outreach and cultivation. This individual is responsible for building and advancing strong personal and professional relationships with individuals that will result in philanthropic support. In close collaboration with the Leadership Team for the Jefferson Collaborative for Health Equity, EVP for Advancement, SVP OIA, and the AVP of Corporate and Foundation Relations, this individual will develop and implement the philanthropic outreach strategy including effective major gifts fundraising, raising the profile of Jeffersonrsquo;s community-facing programs, and program implementation. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of individual philanthropists interested in funding community and health equity programming in the greater Philadelphia area ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
