We are in need of a Sr. Wireless Network Engineer for our client located in the Osceola, AR area. This position would be a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week on site.
This is a new position. Currently our client is working with a third-party vendor to manage the wireless switch from Cisco Meraki to Cisco WLC. This person not only would be hands on but would serve as the POC for that vendor.

Job Overview: As a Senior Wireless Network Engineer, you will leverage your extensive experience with Cisco and Siemens wireless technologies to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our wireless network. You will lead complex projects, optimize network performance, and provide expert guidance on wireless network strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implementation: Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Cisco and Siemens wireless network solutions to meet organizational needs and scalability.
  • Network Optimization: Perform regular assessments and optimizations of wireless network performance, including troubleshooting complex issues and implementing improvements.
  • Project Leadership: Manage and oversee wireless network projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for wireless network issues, leveraging deep knowledge of Cisco and Siemens technologies.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce network security protocols and standards to protect against potential threats and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, configurations, and changes to support operational efficiency and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network architects, IT support, and external vendors, to achieve seamless network integration and performance.
  • Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and technical staff, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation in wireless networking.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco and Siemens wireless technologies, including design, implementation, and troubleshooting. MUST HAVE WIRELESS PLANNING EXPERIENCE.

  • Technical Skills:
    • Extensive experience with Cisco wireless products (e.g., Cisco Aironet, Cisco Meraki, and Cisco WLC) and Siemens wireless solutions.
    • Proficiency in wireless network protocols, security, and optimization techniques.
    • Advanced knowledge of network design principles, including RF planning and site surveys.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Wireless Network Expert (CCIE Wireless), Cisco Certified Wireless Network Professional (CCNP Wireless), or Siemens certifications are highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects and initiatives.
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
