Range based on education and experience

Schedule: Full-Time | Every other Friday off (paid wellness day)

Your Role:

Billing/Revenue Cycle Management Specialist - Heritage Behavioral Health Center (Decatur, Illinois)

The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for managing the entire revenue cycle process, including billing, collections, and accounts receivable. This role ensures accurate and timely claims submission, payment posting, and resolution of billing issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to supporting behavioral health services through efficient revenue cycle management.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Submit electronic and manual claims adhering to strict deadlines
  • Monitor and analyze revenue cycle performance
  • Identify and resolve billing issues
  • Develop and maintain relationships with payers
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate billing information
  • Post and work claim denials
  • Post insurance payments
  • Other duties as assigned or negotiated with supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS coding
  • Strong understanding of the revenue cycle process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently within a team-based environment
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in medical billing, coding, and/or collections
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
