MSP is positioned for growth and is seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Management Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive product strategy and execution.

Location:

This can be an onsite, hybrid, or remote role depending on the preferred location of the successful candidate. Work sites associated with the role include customer sites, trade shows, and support of product development activities in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Estimated travel if onsite or hybrid: 25%

Estimated travel if remote: 40%

Key Responsibilities:

The Product Management Manager will direct the product portfolio of the business through the activities listed below:

Product Strategy and Roadmap:

  • Develop and lead a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for Marathon Special Products that exceeds market growth in core and adjacent markets
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to influence the product roadmap

Product Development:

  • Translate market analysis and voice of the customer to develop Product Direction Statements to align marketing, engineering, manufacturing and lifecycle support.
  • Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams to design, develop, and launch new products.
  • Develop and own product management processes

Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life
  • Define market pricing strategies and product positioning
  • Monitor product market position and performance, analyze sales data, and recommend improvements.
  • Develop product training and support to stakeholders

Market Analysis and Customer Insights:

  • Monitor competitive offerings and adjust product strategies accordingly
  • Conduct market research to understand customer pain points, preferences, and emerging trends.
  • Identify threats and substitutes to product categories and develop strategies to mitigate impact

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • Proven experience in product management, strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficiency in product management tools and software
  • Project management experience with cross-functional teams

Preferred Experience:

  • MBA preferred
  • Experience in the electrical or electronic components industry
  • Familiarity with gated NPD product development
  • 3-5 years in a managerial role
  • Marketing experience

Candidate Characteristics:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to synthesize and convey complex concepts by using messaging tailored to the target audience
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
  • Written/verbal communication
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation:

  • Expected Salary: $80K-$150K
  • The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for all statewide locations across the United States. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization.
