Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA - The Division of Palliative Care in the Department of Medicine, is seeking a highly energetic, motivated, and collegial physician to join our growing team.

The Division of Palliative Care fulfills this mission by enlisting the skills of an interdisciplinary team which includes doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, physical and respiratory therapists, and case managers.

Responsibilities:

The Palliative Care Attending Physician will:

  • Provide direct clinical care in an inpatient consultative service and ambulatory settings at Tufts Medical Center and its collaborative physician network

  • Participate in local, regional, and national innovative palliative care projects

  • Work at the main teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine where a priority is placed on teaching and mentoring outstanding medical students, residents, and fellows

  • Interested and qualified candidate could be a Hospice and Palliative Fellowship director

  • Strong interest in outpatient palliative care and outreach program to community is welcome but not required

Requirements:

  • Candidate applicants must be BE/BC in Hospice and Palliative Care medicine

  • Outstanding teaching skills and an interest in research are required

  • A team player who is excited to work cooperatively with a wide range of stakeholders and disciplines to champion world-class research innovation

  • Interested in building collaborative and interdisciplinary work

Compensation:

Tufts Medicine offers a competitive salary commensurate with academic training and practice experience. A Tufts University School of Medicine appointment will be offered commensurate with academic qualifications. You will also receive Substantive retirement plan, CME Funds and Time Away, Generous Vacation and Holiday Policy
