Position Highlights:
  • Personal Trainer - NCH Wellness Center

  • Full time/Part time: Full Time, 30 hours/week
  • Hours: Days and Evenings, Rotating weekends

What you will do:

  • Based on a "apparently healthy" to "high risk" member's request, provides any or all of the following fitness services on a one-on-one or group basis, assists members with their use of the fitness, health and wellness programming options to increase levels of member satisfaction, referrals and retention.
  • Provides program design and training progression options to members who are primarily apparently healthy to high risk. Informs new and current members on the benefits of regular exercise and orients new members on the proper use of the facilities and equipment to ensure safe and effective workouts.
  • Performs fitness tests, including cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular testing: provides consultation regarding test results. Promotes the facility's personal training and related Personal Training services to members and guests.
  • Develops exercise prescriptions and programs based on member's health and fitness needs and desires, specifying fitness equipment and routines.

What you will need:

  • The level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Current certification from at least one of the following accredited organizations: ACE-CES, ACSM-CPT, ACSM-CEP, NSCA-CPT, NASM, ACE-MES, ACSM-MES, CSCS-CPT, CEC-Cancer certified required
  • CPR/AED from American Heart Association.
