SUMMARY
The Commercial Finance Analyst is an operations focused role which provides support and analysis for various plants. The position reports to the Commercial Controller and primarily interacts with the Regional Controllers and Plant Managers. This position has the opportunity for development and advancement within the Commercial Finance group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Analyze historical and current financial data to identify and investigate unusual trends and fluctuations.
* Provides support for capital expenditures and closing out projects in timely fashion.
* Assists with the analysis of plant metrics and investigates as needed.
* Identifies and investigates product margins including cost issues. Provides support for setting labor and overhead standards on an annual basis.
* Assists with month end closing including journal entry preparation and account review.
* Analyzes perpetual inventory variances including unusual adjustments. Helps ensure established processes and controls are functioning properly.
* Reviews aged inventory and slow-moving inventory, initiates discussions with the plant for proper disposition.
* Assists with the preparation of financial forecasts monthly as well as helps with the preparation of the annual budget.
* Performs additional relevant duties as assigned including ad-hoc projects.
Requirements:
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment (military equivalent will be recognized in lieu of education and/or experience).
* Proven analytical and financial modeling skills
* Strong proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications, including Microsoft Excel and Power Bi.
* Maintains a high level of flexibility and works well in a team environment, has a strong sense of urgency and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
