Description

The Department of Philosophy at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin in the Fall term of academic year 2025-26. Duties will include undergraduate and graduate teaching (including two courses/year for the University's distinguished Plan II Honors program), research, and service to the department, college, and university.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. (for appointment as Assistant Professor) or expect to obtain it within a year of joining the faculty as Instructor.

Application Instructions

Applicants must upload a CV, three letters of recommendation, a teaching portfolio, and two writing samples. The committee will begin reviewing applications on 15 November and continue until the position is filled. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
