Cornell Health's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers confidential counseling and psychiatric services, designed to help students with mental health concerns that may be affecting their quality of life and ability to learn. Our providers include psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, nurses, and nurse practitioners from diverse cultural and clinical backgrounds. CAPS providers value students in all of their individuality, and are committed to welcoming all people with respect and sensitivity. Our providers regularly collaborate with Cornell Health's diverse array of healthcare providers as an integrated service that support both the mind and the body.

The Per Diem ADHD Evaluator at Cornell Health's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) department serves as a member of a multidisciplinary service team with primary responsibility of assessment and diagnosis of Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) among the student population.

This position offers a payrate of $52 per hour

We are seeking staff that can be adaptable and have flexibility with their daily work schedule and available on Saturdays

Required Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctorate in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or related clinical field; with 3 - 5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Licensed in New York State as a social worker, mental health counselor, or psychologist
  • Training and experience in the assessment and reporting of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and co-occurring conditions
  • Eligible for CAQH credentialing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Effective interpersonal, written, and electronic communications skills, including the ability to convey complex information in accessible terms to diverse or multicultural audiences
  • Understanding of, and compliance with, the ethical and legal issues involved in the provision of clinical services.
  • Ability to establish, build and maintain effective working relationships based on respect, empathy and honesty with diverse groups and individuals
  • Ability to manage and carefully maintain confidential and private information; uses confidential, sensitive and/or private records and information, protects information appropriately
