Job Summary
The Manager of Compensation is responsible for the design, development, implementation and administration of a new and revised compensation program and policies to support Prevea Health's compensation philosophy, maintain external equity to the market, internal equity, and alignment with the key priorities and strategies of the organization. This includes bonus, merit, market pricing, critical roles, compensation architecture, etc. Responsibilities include management and administration of compensation software, submission of all market surveys, advanced market analysis, determination of wages for all new employees and employee movement, FLSA determination, determination of ranges, data entry into HRIS, and ability to present compensation findings and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders. Role will train leaders in the organization on compensation and compensation policies.

What you will do
  • Act as an internal subject matter expert on pay decisions, policy, and guideline interpretation to key stakeholders. Manages and sets pay and pay ranges for exempt and non-exempt roles, news hires, transfers, and position changes. Determines wage ranges and FLSA status for all positions pushed thru our job description software. Lead the training for new and existing leaders on our compensation program. Collaborates with leaders on education of the compensation policy to ensure transparency, guidance, interpretation, process, and solutions. Process annual merit increase approvals in organizations Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
  • Manges and administers the compensation survey management software. Completes all vendor compensation surveys using the software program. Maintain data in software system on an ongoing basis. Conducts yearly migration of new survey data. Reviews survey data against our organizations roles and provides appropriate matches to all staff roles in the organization. Provides reporting as needed from the system.
  • Conducts on-going research, benchmarking and analysis on emerging compensation trends and best practices, including benchmarking, draft reports, and generate analyses to support competitive compensation classifications and pay. Make recommendations for enhancement of programs as appropriate. Ensures the compensation program is equitable and attractive to recruit and retain staff and that the program follows government laws and regulations. Responsible for forecasting annual budget costs for compensation changes to ensure Prevea remains market competitive and effectively manages cost.
  • Participate in annual compensation surveys and use survey results to modify compensation structures and conduct equity analysis of roles in response to changing organizational needs and market values. Presents recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders. Data entry of new ranges, job titles and pay rates in HRIS.
  • Conducts HR reporting and analysis. Audits compensation data to ensure compliance with organization's pay policies and practices to ensure compliance with all related regulations including FLSA and pay equity.
  • Update job description system with job information once HRIS files load into system to ensure accurate data between systems.

Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Finance, or Business Administration OR combination of education and experience in a related field. Required
Experience Qualifications
  • 5-7 years compensation experience Required
  • 3-5 years experience in leading/buidling compensation programs for an organization Required
Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; advanced level in Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP).
  • Background knowledge/familiarity of HR/Compensation/Talent Metrics and a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive and/or personal information.
  • Ability to prepare in depth analysis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, self-motivated, results driven, detail oriented and ability to exercise independent judgment as appropriate.
  • Interpersonal and collaborative skills to work well with members of the leadership team.
