About the Role:

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and functionality of our domestic distribution centers. You'll be at the forefront of optimizing facility layouts, designing processes, and improving material handling, all while ensuring safety and ergonomic standards. Your work will directly impact the growth of existing operations and the success of new facility projects.

What You'll Do:
  • Innovate & Improve: Conduct work studies and provide actionable recommendations for operational improvements (10%).

  • Process Enhancement: Develop, document, and implement more efficient work methods and procedures (20%).

  • Project Management: Lead site-level projects to drive change and improve performance (20%).

  • Facility Design & Layout: Assess and refine layouts, space utilization, and equipment selection to maximize efficiency (10%).

  • Engineering Analysis: Perform material handling and facility studies to support expansion and new facility development (30%).

  • Continuous Improvement: Own the creation of new process documentation, facilitate updates, and ensure ISO compliance across logistics centers.

  • Be a Change Leader: Engage in continuous process improvements, including training and SAP process testing.

What We're Looking For:
  • Strong leadership with the ability to take initiative, generate fresh ideas, and guide teams effectively.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and organizational skills to balance high workloads and tight deadlines.

  • Clear and effective communicator who can work across all levels of management and present ideas confidently.

  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Expertise in driving process improvements through Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.

Required Experience and Education:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in engineering and continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (Master's preferred)

  • Certifications in Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement are highly desired.

Working Conditions:

You'll split your time between distribution centers and office environments, with occasional exposure to challenging conditions such as high noise levels and extreme temperatures. Expect some travel (25%) and occasional non-standard work hours to meet the demands of the business.

Salary Range Requirement

Actual annual compensation offered will be based on several variables including geographic location, work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.

  • Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $80,000 or more depending on experience.
