We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of IT Expert within our ICS Architecture & Infrastructure Department group based in Houston, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist new Direct Air Capture plant commissioning teams with IT-related tasks assigned by the IT Industrial Control Systems team. The support tasks expected are inclusive of but not limited to:

    • Provide support for Rockwell PlantPAX and FactoryTalk applications.
    • Support Emerson's AMS tool used for the instrumentation database.
    • Support System Condition Monitoring software from Bently Nevada and its integration with Rockwell's PlantPAX DCS.
    • Ensure synchronization of FactoryTalk Directory with PlantPAX Independent Domain Controller AD/DS, both at user and computer levels.
    • Support remote user access to operator workstations and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
    • Facilitate remote access to engineering applications such as FactoryTalk Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View, or Thin Manager.


  • Develop detailed documentation for:

    • PlantPAX IT commissioning activities
    • Internal and external backups of PlantPAX and server level operations
    • Plan and implement recovery strategies for the PlantPAX System in response to power outages (hardware level) or cybersecurity incidents (software level).



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Over 5 years of experience in process control and instrumentation for gas plants, oilfields, or similar operations.
  • Experience with Rockwell PlantPAX system and knowledge of IT AD Domain Services for PlantPAX.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SCADA and IT Telecommunications & Infrastructure.
  • Hands on expertise in integration, data flow, and analytics within IT - OT environments.
  • Familiarity with IT virtualization infrastructure.
  • Ability to apply effective data security practices across applications and domains.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and project management tools relevant to automation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.



Desired Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Project management experience: certification is a plus.
