The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mergers & Acquisitions associate to join the Finance & Transactions team in our New York office. Our cohesive and collaborative team has a diverse and unique multidisciplinary practice that gives you the opportunity to work closely with shareholders and to participate in business development and client-facing activities. About You:

• You have 4-6 years transactional/M&A experience at a law firm, primarily focused on private company M&A/private equity/venture capital work;
• Your experience has emphasized private equity/sponsor clients on the acquisition, disposition and growth equity/VC sides;
• You are able to be the lead on initial stages of a deal, such as negotiating a term sheet and drafting (or marking up) the first draft of a purchase/merger agreement;
• You have experience managing multiple matters simultaneously;
• You have a J.D. degree and strong academic credentials; and
• You are admitted in (and in good standing with), or taking steps to become admitted in, New York.

• $280,000 - $320,000 annual base salary
