Trauma Development Sales Representative (West)

The Territory Development Representative is primarily responsible for contributing 100% of their time, effort, and future for the next 12 months to becoming the best possible technical sales representative in orthopaedic trauma, so they may take ownership of their own sales area as an individual or by joining a team. As a candidate they will also be relocatable as to help cover and / or take ownership of an open sales areas anywhere in the US. Job task include supporting assigned sales teams / or senior representatives with inventory management, case coverage, marketing development, customer targeting, and carrying out the sales processes to drive growth and hit quota targets. Other responsibilities include certification of required sales training courses, data analytics, predicting market trends, budget management, conducting surgeon education events, leading cadaver labs, and completing all required compliance modules. This position requires the ability to assimilate and learn a high level of technical information as it relates to surgery and procedures, work in an unstructured fast passed environment, and solve complicated problems while embodying our culture pillars of Care, Collaboration, and Courage.

  • Utilize Lighthouse playbook.
  • Complete 101 (=> 85%), 201 (=> 90%), Challenger, advanced framing courses, and other professional development courses and complete required assessments
  • Provide coverage in areas outside of your current assignment for senior reps due to an unexpected life event.
  • Professional development focused (selling, clinical, and business development) measured and tracked
  • Establishes regular performance evaluations with FST to ensure targeted development of the essential quantitative metrics for territory growth and learning
  • Provide quarterly FST feedback reports (technical, clinical, procedural, relational, financial).
  • Learns and maintains a high level of technical information as it relates to orthopaedic trauma surgery and procedures
  • Gains and maintains an acceptable level of knowledge of the product lines, business objectives, pricing strategies, and proven sales techniques for these products.
  • Assists with inventory management.
  • Provides technical information to surgeons consistent with product user manuals.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Licenses / Certifications: Requires valid driver's license applicable to current residence to facilitate travel requirements of the position.

Experience: Prefers a minimum (2) two years sales experience

Competences: Requires strong PC applications skills to include proficiency in various software applications such as spreadsheets, databases, and word processing, preferably Word for Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Requires a multifaceted, assertive individual with technical-oriented leadership ability and well-developed communication and presentation skills.

You must be able to relocate after one year in the program

Travel Requirements: 50-75%
