Join Our Mission

The Supervising Group Home Worker position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the group home including monitoring and supporting the program to ensure a safe, therapeutic and nurturing home environment.

Job Responsibilities

* Plan and engage youth in activities.

* Teach daily and independent living skills; mentor and promote community integration.

* Form therapeutic relationships with youth and families.

* Supervise designated Group Home Workers and daily program activities in the absence of management.

* Assist in maintaining staff schedules and coverage.

Job Requirements

* Minimum of High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice or related field preferred.

* Minimum 1-3 years of supervisory and/or management experience in a congregate care setting or related childcare or human services environment.

* Flexible availability required including nights, weekends, holidays and on-call rotation.

*Must have a current and valid driver's license with acceptable driving history to the Agency

* Ability to work with an economically and culturally diverse population.

* Skills: demonstrated decision making, organizational and communication skills including attention to detail, oral and written communication skills and training skills; ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize, prioritize and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of internal and external organizational policies and practices; ability to become TCI certified and First Aid/CPR trained.

Pay

$21.50 - $23.18 per hour (dependent on education & experience); eligible for overtime

Schedule

shifts vary depending on program needs, evening & weekend availability required
